Fashion’s Dirty Secret? Waste. Lots of It.

Every year, millions of garments end up as deadstock, returns, or in landfill—often before they’re even worn. The industry overproduces, undervalues materials, and sidelines the solutions sitting right in front of us.

Circular fashion should be the norm.
But right now? It’s the exception. Why? Because there’s no clear roadmap, the right partners are hard to find, and circular models still fight for space in linear systems.
100x1000 Upcycling club
By upcycling deadstock, returns, and unused materials into high-value garments, your brand proves that fashion can be profitable and responsible.
In a world where sustainability is no longer optional, the 100x1000 Upcycling Club offers a bold opportunity for fashion brands and retailers ready to lead the circular movement.

The concept is simple: 100 brands. 1,000 garments upcycled per brand. Every year.

The impact? Game-changing.

From pilot to movement
In 2024, we kicked things off with support from Rijkswaterstaat – Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW) and an ambitious pilot. Together with Studio Anneloes, 10DAYS, Patta, and King Louie, we turned textile waste into creative, sellable collections.

The outcome? A concrete, scalable model for circular production.
2025: The Year of Action
This year, we're scaling up:

  • 10+ brand–upcycler–designer teams formed (incl. Studio Anneloes, Josh V, Kings of Indigo, Fabienne Chapot, Mud Jeans, King Louie, and more)
  • 5,000+ upcycled garments in production
  • Matchmaking event held in May 2025
  • All designs showcased at DSFW, Circular Textile Days & Transition Agenda Consumer Goods
  • October campaign: like-share-win upcycled pieces to spark public engagement
  • We're measuring both impact and return on investment—because circularity must deliver on purpose and performance
